Goodnight Doesn't Mean Goodbye

Just one night, I asked
But you walked away leaving me behind
What went wrong, I never dared to ask
All I know you were never once present

We were lovers underneath the stars that night
The next, it was all gone, you came rushing pass
I came up to you to find the truth of what was held back yesterday
You said you never knew what went wrong, what we meant today

The moment you say you want me back
I never knew how I meant to take it
The moment you pushed me away again
I thought it is now or never, I should leave and say goodbye

Goodnight doesn’t mean goodbye
Sad but true
I asked you once again how you felt about tonight
You said you will now whisper the words goodnight

But you said goodnight doesn’t mean goodbye
Why then did you not come back to me in the morrow?
You winked and say you’ll see me tomorrow once and again
But goodnight did meant forever goodbye

Sometimes I feel the days are hanging for something to happen
For the moments to blossom
For the darkness to fade away
To remember, to forget, to hold what is true to one's heart

Keeping time, trying to not let it slip away
Living in the moment, what's felt can be hurtful someday
Pieces of yesterday bites harder today
But when tomorrow comes, i'll be happier once again

Feels like tomorrow needs to be in the present for some reason
Can't it stay seperate from yesterday and never to come again?
I want to feel what today brings without the hang over tomorrow
Can today be the story I tell tomorrow about yesterday?

Time has its challenges, the happenings do not fade away
What tomorrow holds begin at it is today
Little by little as time passes by so quickly
My trueself faces together with my story of yesterday

With moments passed into the next hour
What happens then; what happens to the moments ago?
Were they forgotten, or kept in a sacred place?
Can I recall them - those memories once lived in the present?

Capture moments to remember and lock them somewhere safe
Somewhere within the memories, don't let them all escape
What if I forget the moments, what if I could never remember them?
What if it goes back being trapped in yesterday with no living in tomorrow?

Falling to Pieces

The dearest moments are the ones left forgotten
Went through the sequence of my story of rememberance
Through the context of the pages of my life I once agreed on
Can words disappear from ones life so suddenly?
Can memories not create a life worth living?
No, now why can't I write the story of my life?
My experience of life once on paper, shambled from its rights
Why would music stop playing in my world?
Why would beauty stopped at a distance?
My mind clouded from doings of yesterday.
My voice could not sing the melody of kindness and grace no longer
Two steps ahead, forward once, now two steps back
That's how my head feels every moment of the day
This bluriness of the rights to my life,
I couldn't tell which came to sight, which lingered away...
They say the human mind is a complicated place to be in
I mingled around with my shadows in the world without its tempo
The first light now gone, I couldn't find its emotions.
Once again I feel my world is just lost without the heart beat of another
How should I exist?
Would the existance of others complement the world around me?
What if my heart and soul is a lonely island on its own?
Without the need to float on emotions and intelligence of every human being I know...
I am the soul seeker, the eternal burden of my life alone
I am the reaper of my own supplies of beauty and darkness around
I am the giver of every breath I need to survive in this forsaken island
I am the believer in every dreams, in ever day, in ever moment I created
I am falling into pieces without the chance for redemption.

The 'Other'

The peace in me left with no mercy
Leaving me in chains without a memory worth holding
Troubled times ahead, how am I to face it?
When happiness is earned, a sacrifice needs to be made.

To no return will I come to a place I could call home
I've tried in many conditions worthless to what I could call my own
Neglected my morals, a tough experience learnt
Doesn't mean I know what's next to enter

Sorrow, another emotion felt liberally by my soul
Earned its place in a dark tunnel, leading to a mysterious land
Will it lead to a morrow?
Will it lead to what is mine to borrow?

Strangers meet; staying is an option kept a secret
A journey together does not mean a memory kept forever
Both worlds apart, charms spoke a language different from the heart
Can it be true - I chose a path which I have been down many many times before?

Seasons fade, they return with many new beginnings,
Endings of a season is for one to make it worth cherishing,
Make a life that's worth, but never to be shared with another being,
Can that be happiness for a life without the existence of the 'other'?

I learnt to cherish moments, but never to comprehend them,
It seems like a better way to enjoy new beginnings without endings,
Can lies be truths or truths be lies untold by the 'other'?
How would I ever know as an attempt to comprehend is frowned upon so dearly?

Tomorrow will be a journey which stands forgotten
It will never take a step to a new chapter
Sitting in darkness and pondering its path,
Will I see the site of brightness existing in this tunnel?

Life is a book filled with blank pages
Each page is written by a narrator known as the 'self',
My 'self' is involved in many new beginnings where journeys fade in a blur,
Whether it's with the 'other', can it now be deemed important?

The Whisperer

I once knew a girl who grew up in the meadows
She thinks of life with a mind of a child never to grow up
Her views were beautiful where gardens bloom and birds chirped
Nothing else came to the unpolluted mind of this little girl

Then life came to grow on her
She loves every beauty and every darkness the world contains
Her views matured, no longer innocent before anyone's eyes
What happened? I asked looking at her in distraught

Come to bloom, the flowers no longer
Come to chirp, the birds hidden from the forrest
Gone is the beauty this little girl knew
Gone is the view so innocent and pure

Today she'll learn the truth; her first beginning
Today she'll learn speeches unheard of at birth
She'll learn a way to cheat through life
She'll learn to compromise the beauty for her yearnings in site

She does not know what it is that makes her mind open and close
The sound of ancient prophecy never read or heard
Beyond the blue skies she believed there was a person waiting
Whether it be of family, of friend, or of foe, she wanted to know

Walking in the shadows of a lonely friend
Caught her interest when she once befriended a whispering voice
A voice so kind, yet whispers beyond the shadows
Never once came dawn will the voice be heard again

Dwell in the darkness this innocent girl befriended the whisperer
Unknown to the light, darkness drowned her innocence
The whisperer must have cast a spell on her beautiful soul
Fight she must, or she'll never learn to let the darkness go

She read the mind of the whisperer
Knowing nothing will come good of it
She found a way out of the dark forrest
But the road is forever winding with no signs ahead

Determined to fight her way through one step at a time
The path so clear to her, she need only to follow the path illuminated
Granted three wishes, she only needed one
She wished to cast the whisperer back into the dying swamp

The little girl from the meadow has broken free from its captor
She breathes the air so familiar to her
She smells the blossom of flowers and the moisture of the morning
She kept walking ahead, never dare to turn back.

The whisperer still hides, lingering in the shadows of the little girl
Surrounding her with thoughts of the path once embarked on
The little girl is stronger in mind and spirit than ever before
She turned her head one last time and said 'be gone! Forever be gone!'

Defeated the whisperer, shunned back into its corner
The little girl deserved light to eternal darkness
'I now know my destiny ahead!' she cried out proud
No longer will she allow the whisperer to conform her fragile heart

Death of A Dream

I see you in my dreams
So clear, so pure
You sat just right next to me
Watching the sunset as it should be

I hear you speak to me
The voice crystal clear
Your head resting on my shoulders
You whispered your words right in my ears

You said you were tired
Sleep will do you good
But life has too much wonders
For you still to explore and discover

You said you were weak
You need to lie on the grass underneath the midday sun
Your heart beat quietly
Your breath slow, on tempo, all of a sudden it peaked

You asked ‘what do you think I should dream of?’
My reply, ‘I’ll never know after today.’
'But you have to have dreams for you to live the morrow,’
'For what, when you are not here to witness.’

Your eyes turned grey,
Your hair as white as snow,
You never understood my answers
Your questions never understood when asked

‘Then tomorrow may be a burden between you and me’
‘Yes it is,’ that’s the answer to be,
‘What do you feel today with me by your side?’
‘You left too soon, you are the air I can hardly breathe.’

We saw the sky turn grey,
It’s time now to say goodbye to yesterday
I looked into your eyes
A quizzical look shown on your face

‘Will you remember me?’ you asked
‘Tomorrow, yes, maybe... possibly’ I said
‘How about today?’
‘I can’t promise you, nor will I agree to say.’

You stood up and walk into the ocean
Floating in water, you dreamt of the life to come
Torn from reality and my dreams contained
I am now worried for once my love you’ll never comprehend.

Calm as the ocean, you drifted away to the horizons
Why aren’t I catching up, I never will know
All of a sudden, you stood up once again,
Turned back and looked my way.

‘Come into the ocean with me,
For our dreams will eternally be…
As I’m swept away, my dreams for you to keep
Be the gatekeeper, won’t you now, for our memories?’

Earth unfolds the miraculous being
Whether it belongs to you or me
Hidden from the earth, a soul left drifting
Darkness fold, now, where will it be heading?

It’s now my time to say goodbye
To the old feelings never to be felt at this time
As hours passed, my dreams remained kept within a part of me
As I said goodbye to the man of my eternity

Listen my child, listen closely
The wisps are here to tell you a little story
Of the blooming flowers and the forest of glory
With the breeding ground of love and eternal beauty

The sun of warmth stay closely to the heart that holds faith
The beauty of the world at arms length from the Creator
But where is He as sanctuary is an eternal silence
The seeker of truth no longer believes in the scripture

The balance of power once stand, now disrupted
The space between heaven and earth bound to prophecy no more
Mortals roam the world freely with dire consequences
In death they will find that lies they told barricaded their souls

To peace at heart means to death we will part
With lust and greed once wounded our souls and heart
Tears of sorrow or joy means nothing to the Creator
Condemned to eternal suffering, that's all mortals could plead

Begged for kindness and forgiveness from the Maker
As tomorrow will be created in silence
The world He makes no longer predictable as yesterday
For once, child, listen and make sense of the one true way

The Maker of peace, the cunning soul
The worldly matter attached to your wound no one should know
Unkind truth, unspoken within your heart
When the time comes, child, no one will know your mortal scars.

Darkness falls upon the earth
It swallowed its heart, its breath no longer there
Spirits reunited not one
But the Devil called upon his only son

The human race wiped off the earth in one swish
Goodbye were the days of passion and embrace
Without the knowledge, power is just a word unsung
His Grace comes to earth to witness the naked faith

Fallen angels once pure at heart
Now contaminated with sin at sight
The laughter of His voice made the angels dark as night
His voice alluring pure souls into weakness

Tragedy now His sanctuary
The earth no longer know its maker
The voice of the Devil now heard from afar
Coming closer, no longer can one tame a beast

Colder and colder as the day turns to night
Farther and father, His children moved to the edge of fright
Knees on the ground while Psalms are sung
A little too late, He has heard the prayers unsung

The darkest night, the gloomiest of days
When stormy weather came, it took the children's prayers far away
The truth kept on the far side of the earth
The wishes bound to treachery now heeded

The souls tormented, punishment enhanced
The forest now darken with the souls unforgiven
To light the souls floated but perished within balls of flames
The light now gone, eternity is never to be claimed.

Time passes and a person changes its path a thousand times
To a million places he tried to find the meaning of life
To a place now familiar with the passion of the deepest meanings
There is where he found peace to himself, his soul so alive

To the end of the earth his true love lies
The meaning of live so strange to him at times
Walking through the moments of pure isolation
He found his way to a secret place call tranquility at its best

Remembered when the time he tried to say goodbye
Through the crowd, his love aside
He whispered to the wind, the moment lost his trust
Precious moments never once found even though he tried

Through the pain, the sufferings bid him well
He now lies in the sea of hope when tomorrow arrives
Bed of flowers was his favourite resting ground
As he sees the sun sets and rise to the end of time.

Life is not coming back to me
It’s gone now, tomorrow is where I’ll need to believe
Life is tremendous but out of reach
Calm as the sea, my soul to rest but not by me

The sacrifice I made, tarnished
Held on to my life was my dignity and pride
Cause of pain truly was unfortunate
But that leaves me room to learn from my mistakes

Never would have thought my eyes can see the tardiness of happiness
Till it’s here, now it’s too late to salvage its kindness
Once treated as being cruel, mistake written in stone
Non erasable is the tarnished I felt, and the heartache inflicted

Come to me now the light through the darkness
Help me see, help me salvage my pride
Through the horizon there will always be a place of happiness
Reach it, I shall with the help of true benevolence

Time will never tell when my destiny will arrive
No distance will tell how far my faith initiates
Bottomless pit was how my dignity felt through the days of enragement
But will tomorrow show the path of righteousness? Who will truly know?

The Lady that can’t be moved

She walked into the room as bright as day

Unknown to the world is her darkness kept within
Her thoughts shined through, her corruptions unknown
Just a light that made everyone calm to her sight and her sound

Anger hidden between her eye lids
The answers known at her finger tips
Who is this lady hidden behind a smile
What will her name be? What will she be able to tell?

As she glides through the crowd
Not giving a piece of her history to anyone around
Suspicious, mysterious, the like but never vivacious
Behind that masks of laughter was another ones falter

As the world around her fades
She descends into a pool of darkness
Fading was the smile, her sound of sweetness
Laughter fades, tension rises, but her eyes was still mesmerising

She’s everyone, everyone fearful of her being to come
She’s nobody, but yet someone speak of her like a familiar sound
She’s somebody’s child, she was born without perfection
Now she stands on earth to her own satisfaction

Who is this lady who cannot be moved?
She never moves to the rhythm of the earth
Never moves to the sound of the wind
Battling her scars without a moment to heal

Who is this lady who cannot be allured?
Not away from her stance so firm
Not away from her thoughts so fragile
But there she stands battling her will to survive

Who is this lady who cannot be told?
Of the stories her past revealed before her
Of the seasons passed without a sign of her breathless tears
But there she keeps fighting, her victory at sight

This lady before the world cannot be moved
She cannot be swayed
Pass her troubles; there is always her smile at bay
This is her story without an ending.

Her Story

The cries, the untouched songs in the memory of her past
In awakening of the truth came the echo of her strife
When will she learn, when will the fight end for her to surrender?
Till the moments fade, she'll never learn what was truly inside.

A love so pure once given to her by a heart so willing
Never did it ask for salvation but a mirror of her insatiable being
The entire scene was a crime waiting to be solved
But the witness now walked away with the evidence never to be found.

His conscience playing a mind game with a pure heart
Shattered was the hour glass as the mirror fogged up with his betrayal
The ocean flooded with the tears of anxiety of a crying heart
No where to be found was the charity of a heart that was once pure white.

Darkness cluttered the horizon as the sun failed to show its ray of colours
The moon descended only to peep through the clouds of disaccord
Truly there is still a mindful person who is a guardian to a pure heart
'Where is he now?' she asked standing at the edge of nothingness.

Stung once and she learnt never to trust again
Come twice and she'll start to fade away
The angels cried to her one night to surrender and retract
But her heart was too vain to close its doors from the matter at hand

An unforgiving heart never finds a way to forgive a dying soul
Clenched to her fist was her sorrows that will never find a home
She chose not to vacate for the opportunity of a new beginning
Instead she walked through the darkness endlessly to search for its ending.

Whose fault is it now, who is to blame?
Can't she tell that the burden was not for her to keep
As I count the days her sadness far too many
I pray that my life seeks forgiveness and never choose the life in vain.

Know my days, I'm counting down the hour of your soul as it fades
Walk alone through the darkness; the light dimmed from the distance
Switch my memories off, my soul rested ashore
Count on you now, my child, what can you bring for my all?

Your favorite tune, shallow as it sounds, was my voice
Calling your name, you cared too much of how it sounds
Walk alone now, go towards the sea where the breeze meets your end
Walk towards the edge, my soul should now be content

Fewer known moments of my screams towards your presence
Through the mirror; it shattered from your face
Can you see my tears of sorrow screaming out for attention?
No wait, you are at a distance looking in where I'm standing

Trust you know my feelings of anger towards your own
Lose my temper, search within, my tenderness subsided
My eagerness unheard; my wish list never had much thought of
Will the key I hold unfolds the emptiness upon your death?

What's troubling you, my child, what are you thinking?
Are you thinking that tomorrow is moments away?
Think of the memory you destroyed; the charity you've done in vain
What will love be but a touch of grimace never tender grace...

Your Gravity

Changing lanes, life takes off, but my memories remained
Lock the doors, change the locks, and never want it again,
Turn around, walk straight ahead, you are too far fetch to reach
Be alone, cry for me, draw me into your gravity, but never rain upon me.

Between the lines, you stood nowhere near me.
Neither right nor left; had you stand unheard
Nothing here to hold on to, till I found a way back to the beginning
Calling out, but no one heard me, the last time now, I'm fading...

Can one be the center of attention to a soulful being?
Not wanting to feel, to hold, nor to endeavour.
Just wanting to be lost in the moment and be found in an instant
Never want to fall into a hole to be forgotten

What should I do, to feel, to hold, but never to be attached?
Can I be self-detached from my sanity and fall into your gravity?
To be honest to my heart, to be honest to your soul, but never honest to your truth
One day in time, life will fall into place through the gravity of your home.
