Unpredictable death

The moonlight shines on the path of a street,
Silence lingers in the air as everyone's asleep.
Nothing has change since the day before,
Where suffering is still knocking on everyone's door.

Needless to say that darkness upon this land,
Where hysterical cries and endless mourns were all we can get,
Nothing can stop us from being unhappy,
As natural disasters took away casualties.

Looking back at the day where things were calm,
Everyone enjoyed themselves without a scare,
But now, everyone kept looking at their palms,
Where they had once embraced the body of deceased.

Tears kept streaming down the cheeks of survivors,
The lost onces in this catrastrophe could never be forgotten,
Prayers are said for their souls to keep,
Not even time could erase the lingering feeling of agony.

Will Roddick Win a Grand Slam for This Year?

I was screaming my lungs out during the match between Hewitt and Nalbandian. Now, my throat's pretty soar. Couldn't wake up early for work today.. but what the hack, will not even be working after monday.

Things were heating up in the Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne yesterday while seeing Lleyton Hewitt of Australia (World No. 3) battling out with David Nalbandian. Well, it wasn't an easy match as both players were magnificent. After a long, 4 hours and 5 minutes duel on the centre court, Hewitt gave and showed his best by defeating Nalbandian 6-3, 6-2, 1-6, 3-6, 10-8. It was seriously exciting just to watch the two tennis 'veterans' giving their best. At the end of the 4hour 5mins battle, Hewitt managed to prevent the Australian Day dissapointment and cruising into the semi-finals where he will be meeting the former World No.1, Andy Roddick who's now seeded 2nd in the world.

Nothing can ever stop Roddick from showing his best. Smoothly, Roddick cruised into the semi-finals with a 6-3, 7-5, 4-1 lead while Russia's Nikolay Davydenko retired from breathing difficulties. What will be up next in the semi-finals on Friday would be a must-see match. Well-known for their dramatic matches in Grand Slam tournaments, who will win a place in the finals in this year's Australian Tennis Open 2005? Well, the Rivalry continues...

Players in the semi-finals:-

Andy Roddick Vs. Lleyton Hewitt
Marat Safin Vs. Roger Federer

Lindsey Davenport Vs. Nathalie Dechy

Shadow of Darkness

Nothing more than just wanting to be alone,
Where shadows surround me,
How can such friendship loose to coldness?
Whatever happens tomorrow
Just let it be!

Water of darkness flowing in my dreams,
No disturbing memories of mine seem to fade away,
Loneliness is too hard for me to bare,
What’s life without the sunlight and morning shine?

Without a simple hello from the one I care,
Sadness and hurt were left for me to mend,
No more tears can I cry as I did before,
But knowing that love's out there somewhere is enough for sure.

Nothing more than to be in a crowded room,
Surrounded by the ones that do not care for me,
What could I ever see in the eyes of a stranger?
Could sadness be comprehended by him?

The valley of dark shadows crept in the lives of unknowns,
Could they ever find peace in a world like this?
Shadows of loved ones left had been cast on the streets,
Where silence is the main purpose of the very next day.

Turn the lights down and say good night,
Never wake up till the morning light,
Sound asleep now, you better be,
Don't let the shadow of darkness feel you in.

Beloved Winnie

Pronounced Dead at 10am on the 22 of January 2004.

"You'll always truely be missed, my beloved Winnie.
Eventhough you have left the family, but a part of you will always be kept in our hearts,
Though we may had shattered tears because of your departure,
But just the memories of you will make us smile again."

Australian Tennis Open 2005... Anyone up for it?

Well, well, well, i guess my weekdays would not be extremely boring now. The 2005 Australian Tennis Open would be up and running pretty soon (17 January to be exact). I am pretty much guessing now whether there would be a compertition to die for. Well, with the good players, for instance, Kim Clijsters, Justin Henin and Andy Roddick reported pulling themseleves out from the tour would sadden the hearts of many. If Roddick's sure about not competing in this year's Australian Open, i guess i'll miss seeing him doing his thing on court, but i guess there's still Roger Federer to lighten things up. Not to mention, Maria Sharapova is still on the 'hot seat' for now and i guess everyone's waiting to see her in action. Well... i'm looking forward to watch Lindsay Davenport and Anastasia Myskina in action this year. To me, they are two of the greatest women tennis players besides of Venus and Serena Williams. Hrmm... well it would not be a surprise when people start disagreeing with me. Now, I guess everyone’s favorite would be Roger Federer of Switzerland and Maria Sharapova of Russia.

Top 5 Male Tennis Players (Total points collected during the ATP Tour 2004)
Roger Federer of Switzerland – 6,335
Andy Roddick of the US – 3,655
Llyeton Hewitt of Australia – 3,590
Marat Safin of Russia – 3,060
Carlos Moya of Spain – 2,520

Top 5 Women Tennis Players (Total points collected during the WTA Tour 2004)
Lindsay Davenport of the US – 4,760 (hope she’s win this year’s Aussie Open)
Amelie Mauresmo of France – 4,546
Anastasia Myskina of Russia – 4,012 (hope she’ll beat Sharapova this year)
Maria Sharapova of Russia – 3,536
Svetiana Kuznetsova of Russia – 3,533

The above are the current rankings which are taken from the Jan/Feb 2005 Tennis Magazine. Well, I do hope this year, Myskina could shine and Lindsay Davenport could just win a grand slam!

My List of Favorite Top 5 Male Tennis Players
1. Patrick Rafter (brought victory to Australia in the 1999 Davis Cup where he was pronounced as the winner)
2. Andy Roddick (best match i've every seen was when he compete with Lleyton Hewitt of Australia, even though he lost)
3. Andre Aggassi (master of the court... well, at least to me. He's just being strategically wise)
4. Roger Federer (the next Aggassi - he's smart on court)
5. Marat Safin (never seen him live for awhile)

My List of Favorite Top 5 Women Tennis Players
1. Jennifer Capriati (best match seen - Capriati vs. Hinggis)
2. Venus Williams (best match seen - The Williams' Sister's challenge)
3. Serena Williams (best match seen - The Williams' Sister's challenge)
4. Lindsay Davenport (hope she'll win this year's Australian Tennis Open 2005)
5. Anastasia Myskina (Hope she'll get the chance to shine)

*Models-turn-ball-girls seriously need to be reconsidered. Well, I’m supporting the statement that a 14 year old kid made – “We think it’s very, very bad because in a game of tennis the center of attention should be the player, not a catwalk.” You go kiddo!

Here I Go Again!

I told myself over and over again to just write something to update myself on what i've been going through this whole week. Well, the whole of last week to be exact. I've been busy lately... well, first of all, with work. Secondly, i seriously need to get myself off 'dreamland'. I've been day dreaming all this while about nothing much... alright, i've been dreaming about owning a BMW M5... which i know it's pretty impossible and fat chance my dad would ever get a car like that which cost a bomb!

Let's see... work sucks as usual. I seriously admire the people from church who actually are good in what they do and they enjoy their working days. Well, correct me if i'm wrong, but those people i come across in church are pretty much enjoying every moment of their working hours. Haha, maybe i am inconversant of the fact that they do complain. Well.. whatever it is, God's in control and i need to thank Him because He's the one who directed me back to my old school to help out just to pass my time. I seriously miss church and cell group as well as youth group meetings. I'm amazingly happy after hearing that our church has now began to multiply. I could see the hands of God working on His own pace and i'm glad that there are more and more teenagers joining our youth group and i do pray that God's blessing will be upon Mei Ling and the other cellies with strength and concentration in getting on with the project.

Something i started with but could not end...

Nothing keeps me hanging on to this feeling,
Where hurt is all it takes to break up a friendship,
A simple cry with tears streaming down his eyes,
Would no longer cure the the heartache inside.

RM10 per day... you must be kidding!

I so wish i could stay in a house like this

What a miserable morning to begin with. Firstly, i did not enjoy my early swim at 6.45am today as the pool was filled with people when it came to 7am sharp. Secondly, i went back to school to try getting myself a job and hopefully end my period of 'i feel hopeless'. Now, i seriously am considering whether i would like to work in school after i heard the amount i'll be paid daily. Oh well, for a total of 6 hours where you need to work your arse out for your principle, suddenly she told you that you are working for RM10 per day. Sharks, i should have taken the offer to work in Singapore *whisper* illegally!! Of cause, i expected more. What can a person do with RM10 per day anywayz? I demanded for RM15 per day and she said No... it's the school policy... Screw the school policy!!

Oh well, what's more interesting than to hear gossips among teachers in the principle's office, first hand? Teachers coming in and out, gossiping about a student's performance in school - it's either 'she's so weak' or 'she's intelligent' or the ever most insulting statement of all time 'she's in the hopeless class' - Give the students a break already... they are working their academic 'arse' out so that they won't be the next statistic of 'the student failures of 2005'. According to historical academic achievements in my school, we are always known as the best in terms of academic excellency. Well, this does not give the school staffs to pint-point or worse of all, criticise a student's weakness. Hey, we all have weaknesses to attain to, all you need to do is tell us... PROPERLY!

I was feeling practically exhausted after a days work and when i came home at 1.30pm, i have a lost of appetite and i did not eat much for lunch. After lunch, i went straight into my room and slept till 5pm. Oh well, tomorrow's another 'ready-to-be-straggled' day for me and i do hope i survive through out the week and not complaining!!

*RM10 per day... WHATZ THE WORLD COMING TO?

New year's here and i wish i could witness this scenery in future.

"The full use of your powers along lines of excellence." - definition of"happiness" by John F. Kennedy
It's not like there will be much to think of after a year has passed and the new year it's just at its infant level. Well, horrible and sweet memories of 2004 had somehow left a mark in everyone's life. May it be the biggest experience a person had or the horrible tsunami earthquake that left everyone shocked.

I'm sure that everyone's having their new year resolutions, especially people whom i know who are seeking to succeed in whatever they are doing now. Well, resolutions never work for me as i'm a person that goes with the flow and depend on what God wants me to achieve in the coming future.

2004 had come and gone. There are many things i regretted doing and things i wished i could have done better. For instance, working hard for my 1st semester and having an internship with a company after my 2nd semester ended. Well, what can i say, everyone knows very well the definition of pure laziness and never wanting to do anything. Oh well, this seriously made me feel hopeless in everyways but the new year is here and it is till March where Uni. starts 'breathing' again, so i guess i'll have to make an effort to get myself a job that earns a lil' income and not to think so much of a lucrative job yet.

Lie

The fact that everyone lies to get what they want doesn't surprise me... but what's the use of creating your own delusions of grandeur when there are people who are performing their best and beats you to the ground?

What's the truth when no one speaks about it?
What can you tell in the eyes of a liar?
What can you do when life is full of deceive?
When people are trying to bring you to the ground.

The year of lies had come and gone,
Bringing newer challengers in the year to come,
What's the use when truth isn't for us to see,
When life's just like experiencing a stormy sea.

Tomorrow is just another day for lies to unfold,
The truth can never be seen or told,
I'll just wait to see the ray of light,
When dusk comes and all I see is the pale moonlight.

Silence is just about anything this world could hold,
Sometimes you want so badly to let your feelings show,
The once ever conversation completely lost its flow,
Like a lonely person who was left to be on his own.

Tell a little white lie to get you away from trouble,
To get you free from mistakes in a double,
But what's the point in life for creating delusions,
When you know the stream of life runs dry in a second.

"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."
- Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965)

How would you know that it's the year 2005 when you wake up

Your friend calls you at 12am and wish you Happy New Year with a languorous tone and slams down the phone.

Your friends had a gathering at Y2K when you were stuck, sleeping at home.

You manage to wake up at 12.30am and hollered your sisters name.

You opened up 3 sms messages with the same message that goes 'Are you still awake? It's 12am!' and the next 3 sms messages will be 'Happy New Year!'

You went downstairs to make yourself a cup of coffee and greeted your dogs Happy New Year.

Anyone up for a beer?

Suddenly, someone just smsed you and says 'Happy Birthday to ME!'.

Someone calls and ask 'Hey, are you Evelyn?'

Your pet bro calls and said that he's back from wherever he went to.

You woke up at 8.30am and heard a loud knock on your bedroom door and the next thing you know was listening to your parents shouting 'Happy New Year!!'... close the door and went back to bed!

*Now that's what i call a Happy New Year!*

A song on New Year's Eve

When my friends were out having fun on New Year's Eve, all i could do was to sit infront of my computer, looking at the blank screen, just thinking of the victims and survivors of the tsunami earthquake. My heart cried out to those who has lost their loved ones and their place to stay, and my burden are in God's hands at this very moment as i know i need Him, not to mention, all of us do.

As i was just looking out the window, suddenly Eva Cassidy's 'Time after Time' started playing on my winamp. I got too engross over the lyrics and at that very moment, memories of what happened early 2004 started flashing in my mind. Bad memories, bitter-sweet memories, blur visions and more...

Song Title: Time After Time
By: Eva Cassidy

Lying in my bed
I hear the clock tick and think of you
Turning in circles
Confusion is nothing new
Flash back to warm nights

Almost left behind
A suitcase of memories
Time after sometimes
You picture me
I'm walking too far ahead
You're calling to me
I can't hear what you've said

And you say, go slow
I've fallen behind
The second hand unwinds
If you're lost, you can look
And you will find me
Time after time

If you fall I will catch you
I'll be waiting
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you
I will be waiting
Time after time
Time after time

After your picture fades
And darkness has turned to grey
Watching through windows
I'm wondering if you're okay

And you say, go slow
I've fallen behind
The drum beats out of time
If you're lost, you can look
And you will find me
Time after time

If you fall I will catch you
I'll be waiting
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you
I will be waiting
Time after time
Time after time

Mm mm mm
Time after time
Woo ooo ooo
Time after time
Time after time
